Varios integrantes del Grupo de Investigación UCA-PAIDI HUM-1026 «IMAGEN Y MEMORIA: miradas transversales entre la Historia y los Medios Audiovisuales” (Universidad de Cádiz), participan en el Symposium «Intercultural Conversations«. Se trata del simposio anual organizado por el Department of Humanities del Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT, Irlanda), en colaboración con The Humanities Research Group. Esta cita académica es de formato híbrido, presencial en el propio DkIT (Room S129 – L4) y online, a desarrollar el 26 de abril de 2024.
Son cinco las ponencias protagonizadas por integrantes de nuestro grupo de investigación. Por orden en el programa del simposio, son las siguientes:
- «Thermae Romae: Transcultural, Transtemporal, Transmedia. Ancient Rome in Japanese Manga», por Miguel Dávila Vargas-Machuca.
- «Beyond the Cultural Journey: An Introduction to The Grand Tour and Its Influence on Art», por Ana Panero Gómez.
- «The (rising) Sun of the Quince. Japanese Aesthetics in the Cinematographic Language of Víctor Erice», por Antonio Míguez Santa Cruz.
- «The Godzilla Syndrome. Or how to Conquer an International Market Being Yourself with Time and Patience», por Mercedes Iáñez Ortega.
- “Of lions and griffins: An Example of Transculturality in the Ancient Mediterranean”, por Alfonso Ramírez Contreras, David Expósito Mangas, Juan Carlos Pérez García.
